Fender's Fish Hatchery will be closed for Memorial Day, the 27th of May & for the Fourth of July to spend time with our families.
Pond Clinic set for Thursday,
May 23rd from 6- 8 p.m. at the Hallstron’s Farm
Belmont Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD)
and Ohio State University Extension (OSUE) announce a free pond
clinic to be held May 23, 2013 from 6 - 8 PM, located at
Hallstron’s Farm at 37520 Barnesville-Bethesda Road Barnesville,
Ohio 43713.
The pond clinics special guests will be Steve
Fenders from Fender’s Fish Hatchery in Baltic, Ohio. Steve
Fender will discuss pond construction, fish stocking, aquatic
plant control, and leasing for water withdrawel. Steve
Prebonick, ODNR SWCD Soil Scientist, will be discussing soil
types for pond construction. Liza Butler, Belmont SWCD wildlife
specialist, will discuss nuisance wildlife control in the pond
setting.

We have been serving pond and lake owners for over half a century with the highest standards of game fish and other products for the benefit of your ponds and lakes.
With the blessing of Mother Nature and the good Lord, we begin in the spring around the first of March, depending on when the ice leaves our ponds. We continue for the next 9 to 10 months, until the ponds freeze back over again in the late fall, around December.
All this time we will continually be bringing in fresh fish to sell at our location in the northeastern corner of Coshocton County. We will also be delivering to soil and water conservation districts. We will be at 19 locations beginning March 25th through October 25th. Check out our list of locations on our calendar page.
